Poisoning
For emergencies call 911 in the United States (victim with trouble breathing, seizures, won't wake up, or having other serious problems).

Also for emergencies contact the Florida Poison Control Center TOLL FREE 1-800-282-3171 and in other states look on the inside front cover of your phone book for Poison Information Center or Poison Control Center.   The Florida Poison Control Center is distributed at three locations:  the University Medical Center in Jacksonville, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami (lots of helpful information on pesticides, plant poisoning, and stings), and Tampa General Hospital in Tampa (nothing specifically on poisoning at that web site.)  Calling 1-800-282-3171 from anywhere in Florida will route you to the correct location.

In addition, refer to the pesticide label.  Follow user safety and clean up recommendations, e.g., the "Statement of Practical Treatment" or "First Aid Measures."

For animals locate the National Animal Poison Control Center part of ASPCA.
