 Not a problem!

Carpetgrass is a northern grass photographed here in the middle of winter. Are you confused?

Pallets of carpetgrass Axonopus compressus turfgrass sod in far north Queensland
This is far north Queensland, where tropical carpetgrass, Axonopus compressus, is the main lawn grass.  The bermudagrass understory which is growing back between the uncut carpetgrass ribbons is beneficial to help achieve sod harvest strength.  Surprisingly, the bermuda dies out and the carpetgrass is so aggressive that it is recognized as being more of a weed, the farther south (colder) you get.  (Just to avoid any other confusion, elsewhere on this site you probably won't find any mention of "southern grass" or "northern grass," but you will find plenty of mention of warm-season grasses, and a little about cool-season grass.)
