TPF is heading to the home of the Florida Gators – Gainesville! – for its second annual Growing Better TPF Annual Meeting & Field Day on Thursday, May 5 and Friday, May 6.
The association will host its annual meeting from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center in Gainesville, with a rematch of last year’s popular Skeet Shoot set to follow from 2:00 – 5:00 at the nearby Gator Skeet & Trap Club. Attendees can round out their evening back at the Hilton for the popular Field Day Reception & Dinner. This casual event is a Field Day favorite, offering plenty of good food and time to visit with friends and colleagues.
And for the first time ever, TPF’s Field Day will be hosted by the University of Florida/IFAS Plant Science Research & Education Unit in Citra, Florida. The PSREU is one of the country’s premiere turf research facilities, and guests will have the opportunity to visit test plots and learn more about projects being conducted there, including breeding research for improved varieties.
As always, Field Day will offer a great opportunity to visit with vendors to discover both the new and innovative and revisit the tried, true and reliable in goods and services designed to help your business thrive.
Field Day is open to association members; green industry professionals (we’d love to have you learn more about sod production and our industry!); university faculty, students, and extension personnel; and regulatory personnel whose scope of work includes landscapes or production agriculture. Visit our Events page for more information on how to register, exhibit or offer sponsor support for the association’s only major fundraiser. See you in Gainesville! (Orange and blue not required.)
